YEZEMA MEDREK

Official
rules

These are the official contest rules for Yezema Medrek. Please read them before you sign the consent form.

1. Eligibility

  • The contest is open to solo artists and bands worldwide who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, unless prohibited by local law.
  • Employees of Yezema Medrek and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
  • Each entrant may submit one profile photo (JPG, PNG, or WEBP format, max 8 MB) and one performance video of an original track (MP4, MOV, or WEBM format, max 3 minutes and 200 MB).

2. How to enter

  • All submissions must be received within the official contest period.
  • There is no entry fee for the first season.
  • By submitting an entry, you confirm and warrant that: (a) you own 100% of the rights to the composition and master recording submitted; (b) you grant Yezema Medrek a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use 30-second clips of your entry for promotional purposes; and (c) Yezema Medrek may disqualify any entry that violates these rules.

3. Judging process

  • The contest consists of three rounds.
  • Round 1 (Audition): Judges will review all eligible entries and select 10 contestants to advance. Selection will be based on public choice (contestants with the highest number of votes).
  • Round 2 (Semifinal): The semifinal results will be determined by a combination of 60% public votes and 40% judges' votes.
  • Round 3 (Grand Final): This final round will determine the winner.
  • Grand Final Scoring: The final score will be calculated based on the following components.
  • Judges' Panel (50%): A panel of three independent judges will score each finalist on a scale of 1–10 based on Melody, Production Quality, Originality, and Emotional Impact. The final judge score is the average of all three judges' scores.
  • Public Vote (50%): The final public score is determined by the contestant's percentile rank among all finalists, not by the raw vote count.
  • Final Score Formula: (Judge Average × 0.50) + (Public Percentile × 0.50).

4. Voting rules

  • Voting is always free. Sending a gift to a contestant is optional support and is never a condition of entering, voting, or winning.
  • One vote per verified email address or SMS per day is permitted.
  • Automated voting, bots, and paid vote services are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Yezema Medrek reserves the right to remove any suspicious votes and adjust scores accordingly. All decisions regarding voting are final.

5. Prizes

  • Grand Prize: to be announced once the contest begins.
  • Prizes are non-transferable. If a winner is disqualified, the prize will be awarded to the next highest-scoring eligible entrant.
  • Gifts sent by supporters do not affect judging, scores, or prize eligibility in any way.

6. Tie-breaker

  • In the event of a tie in the final scores, the entrant with the higher number of public votes will be declared the winner.

7. Disqualification

  • Yezema Medrek reserves the right to disqualify any entry for the following reasons:
